Corine Sombrun is a trained musicologist. During a report in Mongolia for the BBC Worldservice, she learns by chance that she is a shaman. This discovery, out of the ordinary, leads her to carry out a specific teaching, during several years, on the border of Siberia with a Tsaatans shaman, then, to collaborate with researchers and scientists to study the state of trance.

She co-founded TranseScience, an international network of researchers involved in the neuroscientific study of the mechanisms and therapeutic applications related to trance states. The re-edition of her book “My Initiation into Shamanism” recounts the amazing journey of this determined woman.

In October 2019, director Fabienne Berthaud brought it to the screen through the film “Un monde plus grander” (A Bigger World), starring Cécile de France.

It is about this shamanic experience and the scientific discoveries that resulted from it that Corine Sombrun and Professor Francis Taulelle will talk to us during this conference.

UPDATE (November 2020):

During this period of confinement, the Terre d’Azur team remains mobilized and active. However, in view of the current situation and organization, the conference of Corine Sombrun on December 11, 2020 is once again postponed to a later date.

If you wish to be reimbursed, you can contact us on the contact form on the website. Otherwise, you can donate this amount to the association.
